Thanks to Whaleys of Bradford for supporting the production of Unicorns, almost. Here are some behind the scenes photos of the making of the tent-like structure that will be hung inside The Swan at Hay. Designed by Lucy Hall to take the audience from the streets of Hay-on-Wye to the world of Keith Douglas in Alexandria in 1944. The tent is made from canvas painting fabric that will be painted by Lucy and her assistant, Luned Gwar Evans.

At Whaleys of Bradford, thanks to Kevin for coordinating and advising on materials, to John for ensuring the fabric was cut to spec, and to Sandja for sewing the pieces together.

Final photo is of Zahid, a resident of Great Horton, who is 24 years old – the age that Keith Douglas was killed.
