Lucy Hall is the designer for the premiere of UNICORNS, ALMOST in Hay-on-Wye in May 2018.

Lucy trained at Central School of Art in London and at NYU Tisch School of the Arts New York.  She has worked as a set and costume designer for theatre in Britain and abroad, including at the Ambassadors Theatre, Gielgud Theatre and Arts Theatre in the West End, Royal Court Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Gate theatre, National Theatre Studio, Sheffield Crucible, Glasgow Citizens, Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough, Salisbury Playhouse, Bath Theatre Royal, English Touring Theatre and English Touring Opera, Theatre Projects Tokyo and Copenhagen Opera.

Lucy was the recipient of the Bunkacho (Japanese Cultural Exchange) government fellowship programme for artists from abroad where she spent a year studying traditional Japanese theatre. She has held the post of Artist in Residence in various educational settings and been involved in the development and delivery of numerous theatre in education projects. Lucy recently obtained an MA in Fine Art and continues to develop her art practice alongside her position as a Senior Lecturer in Design for Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and her ongoing design work for theatre. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Lucy will work on UNICORNS, ALMOST with design assistant Luned Gwawr Evans.
